Night watering
The houses, one in Toowong and the other in Taringa, both Brisbane suburbs, are here made neighbours under a night sky.
Susan is watering with the garden hose, an activity my grandfather and many other people living in the sub-tropics and further north found soothing, to escape the heat of the day. There was also, of course, less evaporation of the water. Water restrictions have now curtailed this cultural phenomenon.
