Moreton Bay Fig Cafe

For years, we've been going down to Shorncliffe...a Brisbane suburb on the Bay. Many locations in Brisbane are amplified in memory by the presence of large Moreton Bay Fig trees and the most memorable one in Shorncliffe for me, is on the corner of Rainbow Street and Palm Avenue.

Old Fig trees of this type are not so much trees as environments, as they drop new roots from their limbs to eventually make new trunks to support their wildly excessive big branch cantilevers. Just across the road from this particular one is a cafe...a good place for a stop.
